My Creative Work

As mentioned in my last update, I'm thrilled to be immersed in several exciting projects within the video game industry. Collaborating with talented game artists and animators, I'm crafting comprehensive design systems encompassing custom UI art, components, and even crafting the complete brand direction, marketing materials, and website development. All of these, steeped in a gothic and sinister fantasy style that aligns perfectly with my creative path. Simultaneously, I'm developing my very own video game concept, allowing me to showcase my skills in a more high-fantasy approach. You can expect these projects to debut on my website, hopefully by the end of this year or the start of next.

Embracing the emergence of AI, I've proudly integrated such technologies into my services and workflows. If treated right, AI is not a threat but rather a valuable tool that enhances the quality and efficiency of my work while safeguarding my skills for the future. I firmly believe in using AI as a creative's tool, not letting it dictate the approach or results and certainly not engaging in plagiarism. It's here to stay and should complement a creative's toolkit, not be avoided.

My Fantasy Series

My Rive Hunter series has been on a productive streak recently. I've been fully engrossed in writing the first book of the series, following a meticulous process of refining the outline. I'm excited about the progress, and if all goes according to plan, the first manuscript should be ready by early-2024, followed by a summer dedicated to editing and incorporating reader feedback. During this period, I hope to rekindle my passion for concept art related to the series, creating a series of illustrations to grace the book's cover and interior pages.

For regular updates on the series, keep an eye on my Instagram and my new X profile.

What's Been Inspiring Me Lately

Speaking of inspiration, I've been delving deeper into Brandon Sanderson's works, making my way past the halfway mark of "The Way of Kings" and diving into the second book of the Mistborn series. However, I'm also on the lookout for an exciting series that embodies traditional fantasy elements, so I've been sampling various books on Kindle. If anyone has any recommendations, please feel free to share!

On the visual front, I recently watched the first season of "Silo" on Apple TV, and I must say I was utterly captivated. It's a refreshing original sci-fi series with a unique approach, top-notch production quality, and a stellar cast. What more could one ask for? This experience opened the door to the literary works of Hugh Howey and his inspiring journey, which I highly recommend exploring.

"Until next time!"
